Tonight’s Date with Rich

One of my husband Rich’s favorite bands of all time was Queen. I snatched up two tickets when I heard they’d be performing at Madison Square Garden with Adam Lambert tonight.

My friend Thomas joined me for what was an emotional concert. It appeared that I sat beside an empty chair, yet Rich’s spirit filled seat 27 in section 209 right next to me. Rich often speaks to me through music and tonight’s show was confirmation. It seems he helped inspire Freddy’s play list:

Somebody to love
“Can anybody find me somebody to love?
Love of mine don’t leave me.”

These are the days of our lives
“Those were the days of our lives
The bad things in life were so few
Those days are all gone now but one thing is true –
When I look and I find I still love you.”

Love Kills
“Gives you a hard time
Won’t let you go ’cause love, love
love won`t leave you alone.
Hey, love can play with your emotions
open invitations to your heart.”

Radio Gaga
“Let’s hope you never leave old friend
Like all good things on you we depend
So stick around cos we might miss you.”

Who wants to live forever
“Who wants to live forever?
Who dares to love forever?
When love must die.”

Show must go on
“Outside the dawn is breaking
But inside in the dark I’m aching to be free
The show must go on
Inside my heart is breaking
But my smile still stays on
My soul is painted like the wings of butterflies
I can fly – my friends.”

I enjoyed a wonderful date with my beloved tonight, and I’m grateful for his visit.

I still miss you,
